New Album News

Hello world –

I have a plan. Here it is. My new album, entitled (here it comes)… “Still Great” is planned to be released sometime in 2011. I really have no clue when it will actually come out, but this seems to be a reasonable estimate. It could come out this year, but don’t hold your breath for that. Hold it till next year. 🙂 I plan to release a couple of songs to start with on my bandcamp page. After that, I will try to deliver at least one song a month until the album is completed. I want to have a total of 14 songs on the album. Do the math. Keep in mind that these songs can be altered a bit in this stage. Feel free to throw out suggestions on how to make the songs better. I hope you enjoy the album if and when it gets completed.

New Album Slowly Materializing

Hi-

Today I worked on a new song for the new album. I finally got around to singing for said song. I’m probably just short of halfway done. The lyrics on this song (tentatively titled “Bogus at Best”) seem far too cheesy. It sounds like a 13-year-old wrote it. It’s too bad too, because the music is kinda cool and unique. The chorus lyrics might make up for it. I hope to get it done soon and stay tuned for an “exciting” thingy I might be doing with this new album.

Hey ppl (cool to do I’ve heard)

The subtitle of this blog is “Random Thoughts from a Weird Guy Who Happens to Make Music.” So I think it’s time for some actual random thoughts that don’t pertain to me. 🙂

I found this cool band called “Circus Maximus.” They are a Norwegian progressive metal band. Their music is similar to that of Dream Theater, Shadow Gallery, etc. The singer sounds like a cross between Roy Khan (Kamelot) and Geddy Lee (Rush). Sorta. He also sounds a bit like an 80s metal singer. Cool stuff. Check ’em out.
